The mission of NBASLPA is to ensure the provision
of quality audiology and speech language pathology services to
New Brunswickers with, or at-risk for, communication disorders.
This will be accomplished by advancing and maintaining the standards
of speech-language pathology and audiology in the Province, governing
and regulating speech language pathology and audiology services
provided to the public, and providing for the welfare of members
of the NBASLPA.
To achieve this mission, the Association strives to:
- actively represent the perspective of audiologists and speech
language pathologists in current health care issues and be proactive
in the identification of future concerns
- provide a professional home for audiologists and speech language pathologists
- provide leadership in the maintenance and development of professional standards
- ensure that quality services are provided to individuals with communication
disorders
- advocate on behalf of individuals with communication disorders
- promote public awareness of communication disorders, current trends, and
intervention strategies
- provide opportunities which foster life-long learning and professional growth
for audiologists and speech language pathologists
The Association seeks to achieve its goals relative to:
- New Brunswickers with, or at-risk for, communication disorders
- audiologists and speech language pathologists
- individuals and/or groups having mutual interests
